The renovation system with an insulating effect

Key Facts

1 Substrate preperation

  1. Remove plaster/render to a minimum of 80 cm above the damaged zone.
  2. Rake out friable and salt-laden joints to a depth of ca. 20 mm.
  3. Treat damp masonry work with AQUAFIN-Primer.
  4. Level off joints and voids with ASOCRET-M30.
  5. Plug the existing horizontal barrier and produce a locking groove at the wall/floor junction with ASOCRET-M30.
  6. Create a watertight fillet at the floor/wall junction with ASOCRET-M30.

2 Producing the horizontal damp proof barrier

  1. Install a retrospective horizontal barrier with AQUAFIN-i380.
  2. Close off drilled holes with ASOCRET-M30.

3 Interior waterproofing

  1. Apply a barrier layer and level the surface with ASOCRET-M30.
  2. Comb the fresh coat horizontally using a 6 mm notched trowel.

4 Salt storage as an intermediate layer as required

  1. Application of the plaster layer with THERMOPAL-ULTRA-white at ca. 15 mm thickness.
  2. Comb out the fresh coat horizontally using a 6 mm notched trowel.

5 Thermally insulating plaster/render

  1. Plaster the wall with THERMOPAL-WSP-120.
  2. Once dry, prime the plaster/render surface with AQUAFIN-Primer.
  3. Subsequently overcoat the plaster/render surface with the fine mortar THERMOPAL-FS33 in two layers.
