1 Substrate preperation
- Remove plaster/render to a minimum of 80 cm above the damaged zone.
- Rake out friable and salt-laden joints to a depth of ca. 20 mm.
- Treat damp masonry work with AQUAFIN-Primer.
- Level off joints and voids with ASOCRET-M30.
- Plug the existing horizontal barrier and produce a locking groove at the wall/floor junction with ASOCRET-M30.
- Create a watertight fillet at the floor/wall junction with ASOCRET-M30.
2 Producing the horizontal damp proof barrier
- Install a retrospective horizontal barrier with AQUAFIN-i380.
- Close off drilled holes with ASOCRET-M30.
3 Interior waterproofing
- Apply a barrier layer and level the surface with ASOCRET-M30.
- Comb the fresh coat horizontally using a 6 mm notched trowel.
4 Salt storage as an intermediate layer as required
- Application of the plaster layer with THERMOPAL-ULTRA-white at ca. 15 mm thickness.
- Comb out the fresh coat horizontally using a 6 mm notched trowel.
5 Thermally insulating plaster/render
- Plaster the wall with THERMOPAL-WSP-120.
- Once dry, prime the plaster/render surface with AQUAFIN-Primer.
- Subsequently overcoat the plaster/render surface with the fine mortar THERMOPAL-FS33 in two layers.
