SANIFIN®-EKB is the ideal combination of uncoupling and waterproofing in a single product. With a thickness of only 2 mm it is exceptionally suitable for renovation work, particularly in areas with adjoining finishes where a low build-up is required. Its uncoupling function protects tile finishes from stresses, which can occur through movement or cracks within the substrate. Shear stresses are reliably reduced, which considerably minimizes the risk of crack formation and damage to the floor finish.
In addition to uncoupling, SANIFIN®-EKB also takes on the role of waterproofing floors. It is watertight and fulfils the requirements for water penetration classes W0-I to W2-I in accordance with DIN 18534. It is therefore perfectly suitable for intermittently and frequently wet rooms and ensures long term reliability with renovation projects.
