Waterproofing and tiling in brine pools

Brine pools and their surrounds are also subjected to chemical exposure from minerals and salts. The waterproofing and installation systems used in these areas must be resistant to these. As a rule, the concrete construction as well as the cementitious levelling layers are protected by these waterproofing and installation systems against water aggressive to concrete. The optional use of a conductive strip and conductive lacquer between primer and the waterproofing membrane gives the possibility of a non-destructive test for impermeability of the membrane using a spark coil test to DIN 55670 under high voltage. The time consuming and costly test via a 14-day trial filling of the pool with water can be dispensed with.
