It is furthermore suitable for producing mineral-based coved fillets and water impermeable render coats (blocking render) from 10 mm thickness. Use opened packaging promptly. * The values refer to +23° C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures accelerate and lower temperatures extend the hardening time.
Substrate preparation: The substrate must be load-bearing, sound with a good key and be free from adhesion inhibiting substances such as separating agents, dust etc. Rake out crumbly masonry joints to a depth of 2 cm and mechanically clean the area. Treat heavy salting with ESCO-FLUAT. Remove all loose or poorly bonded layers from damaged areas until a solid base is reached. Remove laitance using suitable means such as e.g. hand scabbling. Pre-wet the substrate so that it is matt damp during the application of ASOCRET-M30. To improve adhesion prime highly absorbent substrates with ASO-Unigrund-GE or ASO-Unigrund-K. When applying to very dense or smooth substrates e.g. concrete or natural stone masonry, we recommend applying a bonding coat of ASOCRET-KS/HB or INDUCRETBIS-0/2. Dependent on the project, an alternative could be to use a splatterdash coat of THERMOPAL-SP.

Product preparation: Dependent on the desired consistency, place approx. 4.2 – 5.25 litres of clean water into a clean mixing bucket and whilst continuously mechanically stirring (mixing drill approx. 300 – 700 rpm), mix in as much dry mortar until a lump free, non-slump, smooth mortar paste is achieved. The mixing time is approx. 2–3 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes then mix through once again. Application of the mortar is carried out to the technical regulations for plastering. Surface levelling: ASOCRET-M30 can be applied to surfaces up to 30 mm in thickness in one application. Firstly apply a scratch coat of ASOCRET-M30 to the prepared substrate then apply to the desired thickness. Striking off is carried out dependent on the application using suitable tools (float, trowel or plasterer’s darby) within the working time. After the appropriate standing time, the surface can be rubbed down using a rubbing board, felt board or sponge board. Alternatively rub down with a grid float after approx. 60–80 minutes (dependent on the substrate, ambient conditions and thickness), so that surface irregularities are removed leaving a rough surface, which ensures a good bond for following coatings.

Advice: • Protect areas not being treated from the effects of ASOCRET-M30. • ASOCRET-M30 that has already started to stiffen must not be re-lifed by adding water or fresh mortar as there is a risk of inadequate strength development. • Protect ASOCRET-M30 from drying out too quickly (e.g. from higher temperatures or wind) using suitable measures such as e.g. repeated spraying with water or by covering. • Protect ASOCRET-M30 from weathering e.g. rain, frost, strong sunshine, wind etc., until fully dried out. Repair of voids: Pre-wet the chopped out edges of the prepared voids until matt damp and then fill flush with the surface with ASOCRET-M30. Prepare deep holes or voids with a scratch coat. Treat the final levelling layer with a rubbing board, felt board or sponge board. Producing mineral-based coved fillets (internal corners and wall/floor junctions): Apply a slurry of AQUAFIN-1K to the prepared substrate and whilst still wet, build a coved fillet using ASOCRET-M30 to a minimum side length of 4 cm and round off.
