Technical data sheet RD-SK 50 Preparing the substrate Measures for substrate preparation All conventional substrates that are suitable for the application of levelling compounds and coatings, and that have been professionally prepared.
Preparing the surface 1. Pre-treat the substrate with the primer that is suitable for the system design. 2. The primer must be completely dry / must have reacted fully before the subsequent work steps are carried out.
Application Application 1. Remove the protective film from the adhesive strip. 2. Stick the RD-SK50 to the prepared substrate using the adhesive strip and press it on strongly. Cut the adhesive strip at the corner to form a corner. After fastening, RD-SK50 presses onto the wall; acoustic bridges and straining are therefore prevented. 3. RD-SK50 is jointless and butt-jointed in the connection areas. The connection / joint area, or cuts must be covered with adhesive tape. 4. Subsequent work (e.g. levelling using SOLOPLAN®-30-PLUS) can be performed.
Storage conditions Storage Store in a cool and dry place. Min. 12 months in the original canister. Promptly use opened container.
Notes Observe the technical data sheets of the products mentioned before starting work. RD-SK 50 may not be glued or overcoated afterwards with products containing solvents.
Relevant regulations Planning, inspection of substrates and building site circumstances, laying, grouting and subsequent care of the work must be done in accordance with the relevant DIN standards and recognised rules of technology (e.g. the ZDB Data sheets of the Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe e.V.(German construction Association) in the latest version.
