Preparing the surface 1. Clean covering 2. Lightly wet the covering with water.
Application Grouting of slabs using the slurry method 1. Apply CRISTALLFUGE-DF to the wetted covering. 2. Wash CRISTALLFUGE-DF into the joints in the paving using a rubber squeegee, gradually adding water. 3. Remove excess material. 4. Remove any CRISTALLFUGE-DF that may have entered movement, edge connection and bay sizing joints from the entire cross-section of the joint. 5. After the covering and the joint surface have dried, remove any remaining residue with a soft broom diagonally to the joint.
Storage conditions Storage Store in a frost-free, cool and dry place. At min. 10 - 25 °C for 12 months in the original canister. Promptly use opened container.
Notes Slight colour differences, caused by different production batches and raw material fluctuations, are unavoidable. Neighbouring surface sections should be coated using the same production batch (same batch no. on the delivered packaging). Exposure to abrasive stresses during use may cause scratches in the surfaces which will be visible particularly in the case of dark colour shades. We recommend cleaning and treating the surfaces on a regular basis with suitable cleaning and care agents in order to maintain the surface quality and appearance during use. Regular cleaning maintains the drainage capacity of the paving joints. Cleaning with high-pressure equipment can damage the joints. Set the pressure to max. of 120 bar and maintain a min. distance of 20 cm. Thermal changes in length and deformation of the covering can lead to flank cracking and the release of the covering joints. Do not use in underwater or continuously wet areas such as public swimming pool walkways or areas with standing water. Before using CRISTALLFUGE-DF, we recommend conducting a test application in every case.
Relevant regulations Planning, inspection of substrates and building site circumstances, laying, grouting and subsequent care of the work must be done in accordance with the relevant DIN standards and recognised rules of technology (e.g. the ZDB Data sheets of the Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe e.V.(German construction Association) in the latest version. Observe applicable safety data sheet!
