Preparing the substrate Measures for substrate preparation 1. Remove old, damaged plasters, paints or coatings from the substrate up to 80 cm above the visible damaged area or the area delimited through inspections. 2. Masonry work with larger voids, chamber stones, cracks or open joints must be pressed out with ASOCRET-BM before drilling holes. 3. Scrape out crumbly masonry joints approx. 2 cm deep and clean the surfaces mechanically. 4. For the repair of surface irregularities and masonry joints, we recommend THERMOPAL®-GP11 or ASOCRET-M30.
Application Creation of drill holes 1. The drill hole spacing and the arrangement of the drill holes (1-row or 2-row) depends on the absorbency of the masonry work. 2. The drill holes are drilled with a diameter of ≥ 12 mm at intervals of approx. 10-12.5 cm. The injection holes should preferably be drilled horizontally, always starting from a masonry joint. 3. The drill hole depth is approx. 2 cm less than the masonry thickness. 4. For low or non-absorbent substrates, it is recommended to arrange the drill holes in two levels in the joint area. The height offset should be <8 cm. 5. The drill holes must be cleaned of drilling dust by blowing them out
Pressureless injection - implementation 1. Slowly pressing and simultaneously pulling out the injection hose ensures that the drilled holes are filled completely with AQUAFIN®-i380. 2. After applying the injection cream, seal the drill holes on the surface with ASOCRET-M30.
Storage conditions Storage Store in a frost-free, cool and dry place. 12 months in the original canister. Promptly use opened container.
Disposal Must not be disposed of in household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewer system.
Notes Protect surfaces that are not to be treated from the effects of AQUAFIN®-i380! The material is not suitable for hydrophobic action on alkaline surfaces, e.g. concrete components, etc. The basis of the renovation procedure is the WTA technical data sheet 4-10 Masonry work injection against capillary moisture. Preliminary investigations (e.g. moisture balance, salt analysis) are generally required. For wall thicknesses over 60 cm, we recommend double-sided injection with AQUAFIN®-i380 or pressure injection.
