The highly flexible joint tape for long-lasting sealing of construction and expansion joints. ASO -Tape is a highly flexible sealing tape for watertight structures. Combined with the universal epoxy resin adhesive ASODUR-K4031 it can be used for sealing construction and expansion joints as well as sealing cracks and defects in concrete constructions. It is also suitable for additional sealing treatment on transitions, permeations or various construction materials.

ASODUR- K4031 is an adhesive and filler for various types of substrates in the floor and wall area and overhead. ASODUR- K4031 is applicable as an adhesive or filler for • the bonding of ASO-Tape • concrete plates • finished streak plates • finished concrete parts (e.g. shaft rings) • the bonding of metals, ceramics or plastics • particularly high adhesion and shear strength It also applicable as a waterproof joint sealant • as a filler for static cracks • as a quick repair mortar for concrete surfaces

Processing
1. Flooring preparation Prepare the cleaned, weight bearing underfloor by mechanical means.
2. Cleaning Prepare the surface mechanically before cleaning it thoroughly.
3. Masking off the surface Mask off the expansion area on the subfloor and on the tape. Mask off at the margin, the grout should overlap the building component by at least 1 cm.
4. Mixing of the mortar Stir comp. A and comp. B together and put the mixture into a clean bucket. Then stir the mixture for a second time.
5. Applying the adhesive In order to ensure all-over bedding apply ASODUR-K4031 at least 1 cm wider than the amount of ASO-Tape you use.
6. Removing the adhesive tape Remove the adhesive tape in the area of the joint.
7. Laying and pressing Lay out the ASO-Tape and press it on-with a suitable tool.
8. Grouting Ensure the ASODUR-K4031 is spread over all of the ASO-Tape.
9. Removing the adhesive tape Take out various adhesive strips.

11. Bonding Ensure that there is an overlap of 5–10 cm with a minimum layer thickness of 1 mm when bonding the ASO-Tape to the grout.
12. Hot-air welding Using hot air and pressure weld the tape joins with an overlap of at least 5 cm.
Areas of application for ASO® - Tape ASO-Tape can be applied when permanently sealing cracks in new buildings and when repairing buildings. The thermoplastic joint tape is highly flexible, it doesn’t need to be activated and it is waterproof under negative water pressure (2.0 mm variance). ASO-Tape can be applied in the following areas:
