Installation instructions for thin-layer hot water floor heating Application: 1. Prepare the substrate. 2. Prime the screed with ASO-Unigrund, depending on the levelling compounds used and respective substrate. 3. After the primer has dried, install the hot water floor heating according to the manufacturer's instructions and fix it in place properly. 4.The thin layer hot water floor heating system with SOLOPLAN-30-PLUS is then poured onto the cementbased substrates. The pipes must be covered by at least 3 mm in the same layer thickness must be ensured. 5. Deaerate the still liquid layer with a spiked roller and encourage it to flow. 6. After 3 days, commencement of functional heating so that surface is ready to receive subsequent layers according to the manufacturer's specifications. Slight hairline cracks may appear, but these have no impact on further work. If the functional and curing heating is completed, tiling can be started.

Substrate: The substrate must be dry, load-bearing, firm, grippy and free of substances that act as a separating layer. It must correspond to the load-bearing capacities in accordance with DIN 1055. Suitable measures, such as blasting or milling, should be implemented to remove separating layers, laitance layers and the like.
Suitable thin-bed and flowable mortars for bonding tiles/ boards are: MONOFLEX, MONOFLEX-XL, MONOFLEX-fast, LIGHTFLEX and MONOFLEX-S2 CRISTALLIT-flex should be used for laying natural stone slabs. Suitable joint compounds depending on the type and quality of the laying material are: CRISTALLFUGE-FLEX, CRISTALLFUGE-PLUS Notes: • The slow heating up of the floor heating system can be started no earlier than after 3 days. • The technical data sheets for the named products must be observed! • 3 days after installation of the floor levelling compound, the functional heating of the floor begins in preparation for laying of next layer in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Installation instructions for thin-layer hot water floor heating • Just like conventional underfloor heating system, thin-film floor heating systems must undergo what is known as “functional heating” before the cover layers are laid. In contrast to the classic screed system, this procedure can be started much earlier and also completed in a shorter time when using SCHOMBURG floor levelling compound. This is due to the thin-layer structure of the overall system. • Functional heating begins with the floor heating system initially operating for 24 hours with a flow temperature of +25°C. The floor heating system will then run at the maximum design temperature for a further 24 hours.
• Provided that no abnormalities are found afterwards, the floor has cooled down and the specific requirements of the respective topsoil are met, further covering with a top covering suitable for floor heating systems can take place. • When laying the surface covering, special care must be taken to ensure that the adhesives and composite mortars used have sufficient time to dry and harden. Therefore, the floor heating system must remain out of operation for a sufficient time. Especially when laying tiles and slabs, depending on the adhesive chosen, at least 7 days must be allowed.
