Preparing the surface 1. Remove impurities, adhesion-reducing substances and binder accumulations/laitance layers. 2. Check the substrate and determine the residual moisture content using the CM method. 3. Prime the substrate with ASODUR-SG3-thix.

Technical data sheet AQUAFIN®-EPOX-B Application Mixing 1. The (ideal) material temperature during the mixing procedure is +15 °C. 2. Shake the hardener in the lid thoroughly before use. 3. Add the hardener to the resin. 4. The hardener must run completely out of the container. 5. To achieve a changing colour, 1 g of ASO®-FP can be added per 1 kg of material. 6. Mix thoroughly with the mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. 7. The hardener must be distributed evenly. 8. The mixing time is ca. 2 minutes. 9. Decant the mass into a clean bucket. 10. Stir carefully again.

Formation of intersections, movement and connecting joints For watertight formation of moving, connecting joints and connecting components use ASO-Dichtband system components in accordance with their technical data sheets.
Application 1. AQUAFIN®-EPOX-B in one application step with trowel techniques. 2. After a waiting time of approx. 12 hours to max. 7 days, the next layer can be applied. 3. While the layer is still fresh, apply quartz sand (ø 0.5–1.0 mm). 4. The dry film thickness of both layers must be at least 1.6 mm. 5. Remove excess sand after hardening.
Cleaning tools Clean tools immediately after use with suitable solvent.
Storage conditions Storage Store in a frost-free, cool and dry place. At min. 10 - 30 °C for 6 months in the original canister. Promptly use opened container. Observe storage in accordance with TRGS 510.
Notes Coating work requires a substrate temperature of at least 3 Kelvin above the dew point temperature. The bonding between the individual layers can be strongly disrupted between the application steps due to the effects of dampness and impurities. If longer waiting times arise between the individual application steps or surfaces that have already been treated with liquid resin are coated again after an extended period of time, the old surface must be well cleaned and thoroughly roughened. Then apply a complete pore-free new coating. Surface protection systems must be protected against dampness (e.g. rainwater, condensation water) after application until they have reacted.
